The project is the result of a decade-long cooperative that started in 2005 as a project for the sixth Declaration of the Lacandon Jungle under the name Possibleworlds. The seed funding was reached by focusing on development, investment and sustainability practices throughout those 10 years.

In order to support the cause and to maintain material sustainability of the everyday living conditions of its members (ovo-lacto vegetarian food, collective housing in NYC, time for personal projects), Aridoamérica runs an ARG, a B&B, a Coffee Co-op, the DMS nano-macro-economy, and a Webserver. Supplemental income comes from participating in the traditional job market, as well as by creating an internal economy of labor division.

In terms of religion we are trying to re-establish relationships with ancient anti-colonial energies such as Huehuetéotl and Xochipilli.

One of the long term goals is to establish a rural community in Baja California.

Another world is possible.
